Quennia Montoya

Quennia grew up under her grandmother’s care. Ever since she was a little girl, her abuelita suffered from diabetes and had to be hospitalized as a result. Although her grandmother passed away, Quennia remembers vividly the personal and loving care nurses showed her grandmother, which inspired her to become a nurse. She knows that nurses need to be compassionate, patient, attentive and understanding toward all their patients, especially when they are vulnerable and hospitalized. When she was in high school, Quennia took the initiative to learn about nursing and participated in a volunteer program after school.
